As soon as you get close to him, he'll holster his weapon and get into the hand-to-hand stance. He can dodge pretty much any bullet you shoot at him, so you'll have to take him out hand-to-hand. He'll immediately run towards you with his pistol blazing, but this time, you'll want to run right towards him as well, in focus mode while pressing the evade button. You'll now have the opportunity to take on the infamous Agent Smith for the first time (of many). Unless you've softened him up a bit by shooting him prior to his coming off the ceiling, he'll take a bit longer to take out, but his fighting style is similar to the agents, so you shouldn't have too much of a problem. Once you've got him in hand-to-hand mode, take him out as you did the agent. If not, wait until he gets close to you and use a jump + attack in focus mode to bring him down to the ground.
If you have any assault rifle ammo left, go into focus mode and shoot him as much as possible. He should head towards you slowly, so you'll have enough time to let it recharge fully. He'll be walking on the ceiling toward you and he'll start shooting you right off the bat, so head straight over to a pillar on the opposite side from where the exile shoots at you and wait there to build your health back up. He'll be able to block a lot of your strikes if you just try to attack him head-on, so use focus evades to jump around him and hit him from the side to set up a combo.Īfter defeating the agent, you'll be attacked by an assault-rifle toting vamp Exile. You'll need to connect with a couple in order to pull off special attacks, which you'll need to pull off in order to actually defeat him. Go into focus mode and try to hit him with a few basic strike attacks. Once he gets close he'll holster his gun and start attacking you hand-to-hand. Hide behind one of the pillars immediately so that he'll run towards you. Once he's on screen, he'll immediately start shooting you with a heavy pistol. If you're having trouble landing a hit, Use the evade button to dodge to the side of them (or over their head) and strike from there.Īfter the waves of cops, you'll have to take on an Agent. Use a few strikes, then follow it up with a special attack and press the button combo that comes up on screen. Your guns won't work that well against the two with shields, so for these guys you'll want to try to get each one by himself and just wail on him in focus mode. You'll need to defeat this wave in order to unlock the Master (normal) difficulty level. If you get killed at this point (or any earlier), you'll only have access to the Disciple (easy) difficulty levels. Try to get close to one of them with your assault rifle drawn and kick him up into the air, then blast away. They'll immediately start shooting at you, so you'll have to pull a bunch of evade rolls to get your bearings. Make sure to pick it up as well as all the other assault rifle ammo that drops because it will come in handy for the next line of enemies, four riot police.
After you take one out, he'll drop his assault rifle. Take them out one at a time with your guns and then, if necessary, retreat behind one of the pillars and wait for a bit to regain your health. Unholster to target the other cop and blast away.įollowing this, a few SWAT members will take the stage. Use focus and press evade repeatedly to sneak up on one of them and use your special attack to take him out quick. After this, a couple cops with guns will come out and start blasting. Use your basic strike attacks to waste them. The first wave of enemies will be two unarmed guards that will come out of the elevators and try to hit you with some punches and kicks. Your progress on this stage will also determine what difficulty settings are available to you throughout the rest of the game. This stage is a sort of preliminary testing stage that functions as a way to get you used to the basic controls of the game.
